I finished rest of my paintings early in November. I had a week of intense art making, not because I was in a hurry but because I just got a sudden surge of creativity. My creativity continued from the inspiration to the execution; up above is a closeup of some background flowers I did using a potato as a stamping tool!

The time spent on each piece varied according to the technique. Some paintings were very swift, some took days to make. I really enjoyed the fast paintings, it was exciting to see your vision come to life in just fifteen minutes. The forest triptych was one of the fast ones, a piece that ended up being among one of my favourites.

The techniques I used did not only vary by working speed, but also by media. I used acrylics, aquarelles and different mixed media. Within acrylics I played with the thickness of the strokes, within aquarelles I played with the amount of water I used amongst other things. During this project making art has been all about experimentation and playfulness!
