The opening night was packed full. In the image above are the very first quests of the exhibition; one of my student with their guardian! It was lovely to see friendly faces during the opening night and also many new ones. I felt blessed to have my own family visit the exhibition despite the 200km drive. I was also especially happy to see so many of my own students, for I find it very meaningful to provide fresh visual culture to the young of a generally narrower, site-specific cultural upbringing.

The event was overall a success. The exhibition brought together a wide and diverse group of visitors, which sparked many interesting conversations. I managed to sell some of my paintings, even though that was never the main purpose of the exhibition. Pekka and I agreed on making the exhibition a moving one; this month it migrated to the local nursing home to better reach an audience that rarely gets (or is able) to visit art exhibitions.
Art to all!
