I finally got to experience Kursk! Twice!
During the last week of Kursk exhibition I managet to visit Korundi twice; once with a friend, Piia, and once with my mom. Obviously there were other great pieces too, but Kursk was noticably the main attraction. Piia bought Kursk earrings.
Markus Copper, creator behind the Kursk-installation, really inspires me. The piece has all the elements I look for in art; it directly impacts the viewers, has a deep meaning behind it, is politically charged and all together very powerful. As great as it would be to be on the same level as Copper as an artist, I have my own path to find and follow. What I look for in my art is a combination of the qualities in Copper's piece, but neatly packaged and delivered in the "Jonna" way.
I think my main goal will be to revitalize the true, non-westernized way of mindful experiencing. More about that on a later date.
